USS Midway Museum is Full of Thrills in October - San Diego

Feel the need for speed? Hold on tight as your adrenaline skyrockets aboard the USS Midway Museum where visitors get a real life look at life aboard one of the longest-serving Navy aircraft carrier in the United States. See how sailors and fighter pilots lived aboard this floating city, from the galleys to the onboard jail, to the post office to flight deck.

In addition to the self-guided tour, the museum also features two different flight simulators where brave "soldiers" can experience rolls, somersaults, spins and loops, or "fly" a mission in Operation Desert Storm.

October is the perfect month to descend on this wonder as the museum also hosts a haunted, unforgettable Halloween event (see below), and regular admission for kids is free during the entire month! Here are the details for the Halloween event:

Trick or Treat Overnight Adventure

October 30th - October 31st, 2015

Kids six and over are invited to the sleepover of the century aboard the ship where they will learn how to fly in Midway Flight Academy presented by Southwest, go on a special mission to find facts and candy, and sleep under the stars. Parents, guardians or chaperones must be present the whole night. The cost is $100 per person.
