Town and Country Resort & Convention Center in San Diego
July 7-8, 2013
This year, in addition to the SIAM Annual Meeting, the very first SIAM Workshop on Network Science will come to San Diego. The goal of this workshop is to create and cement the community dedicated to network science, applicable in both the mathematical and computational aspects.
If this math-minded discussion is speaking your language, you can participate and pass along this information to your interested colleagues. In today’s culture of social media platforms and online spaces, there’s still nothing quite as effective and impacting as networking with career contemporaries in a face-to-face setting. For those in the field of Network Science, this is a great reason to make a visit to the San Diego area during the early summer.
Planned with the rigorous execution one might expect from the engineering community, this event comes right on the cusp of the 2013 SIAM Annual Meeting, which will take place July 8 through July 12 at the same San Diego venue. If you know a thing or two about networks and their practical applications to life sciences, engineering, and social sciences, this is the scene for you. Because this is a broad discipline, you can chime in during a lively discussion with diverse topics related to this extensive, far-reaching subject. Perhaps most importantly, the SIAM Workshop will promote the training of tomorrow’s network scientists and applied mathematicians.
Participate in the legacy of your field, and find yourself within three minute walking distance (less than a quarter mile from the convention center) at our conveniently located San Diego hotel. We’re just on the other side of the Mission Valley Freeway!
