San Diego Trolley Tours
Explore the local breweriesof San Diego during a trolley tour. From our hotel’s prime location in Mission Valley, you can hop on any Orange Line or Blue Line train to reach the Old Town Transit Center. The unique tour will give you easy access to four popular local hangouts.
First you’ll head to Ballast Point Brewing Linda Vista. Once you’ve arrived at the Old Town Transit Center, simply get off at the first station spot of Morena/ Linda Vista. (It’s only a three-minute ride on the Green Line.) Only a third of a mile away from the station, you’ll take a short, easy and safe stroll to the brewery. Their tasting counter is open to the public Monday-Saturday from 11-7.
Head back to the trolley station, and hop back on the Green Line to the brewpub Gordon Biersch. This popular chain operates about 40 breweries in 16 different states, with beers bottled for the countrywide grocery chain Trader Joe’s. You won’t miss this major brewer, just two stops after Ballast Point a half-mile from the station. This hotspot has late hours, 1 a.m. on Sunday-Thursday and 2 a.m. for fun Friday and Saturday nights.
Continue east to come across Oggi’s Pizza and Brewing Company Mission Valley. Again, you’re looking at a super short ride and quick walk to reach your food-and-drink destination. Then finish out your brewery trolley tour at the Firehouse Brewing Co., the second station after Fenton Parkway.
Make a day out of it; go in order or switch it up depending on where you want to have dinner. However you plan your day, you’re in for delicious drinks and fabulous local flavors. Plan your tour at https://sandiegobeerwinespiritstours.com/tours/train-tours/san-diego-beer-train-trolley-tour/.
