Lads grab your lassies and head on down to the 33rd annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Irish Festival in sunny San Diego, California. There’s no blarney here! The popular Irish celebration hits the pavement of Sixth Avenue on March 16th at 10:30am. Wear your best Irish green garb and treat yourself and the wee ones to an exciting parade and festival that includes exciting marching bands, authentic Irish music, colorful floats, Police and Fire units, the Boy Scout troops, clowns, equestrians, bagpipers, dancers, drill teams, antique cars, and the reigning Miss Colleen, and this year’s Parade Chair, Tony Mande. After the parade, grab hold of a little Irish luck at the Balboa Park Irish Festival where revelers young and old can extend their day of family friendly fun with live entertainment from bagpipers, folk rock bands and Celtic groups performing on two stages. The whole family will enjoy the authentic Celtic village, kiddie rides, Irish fighting demonstrations and dance performances, two beer gardens, food and craft booths.

The St. Patty’s Day parade route begins at Balboa Park on Sixth Avenue and Juniper Street and runs in a circular loop back to the park. The San Diego St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 10:30am and the Irish Festival runs from 9am-6pm.
