Have a Wild Halloween at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park

About 11 year(s) ago by Best Western Seven Seas
Over 2,500 animals call the San Diego Zoo Safari Park home. Formerly known as the Wild Animal Park, this 1,800 acre zoo, breeding ground, and conservation area, houses animals from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. The Safari Park features over 3,500 species of plants. Park visitors can enjoy San Diego Safari tours that closely resemble those conducted in Africa—without the imminent danger.

The park continues to attract visitors looking for a true African safari experience in California, especially in the fall season. This Halloween, wild children will join the ranks of rhinos, tigers, and giraffes as they take part in Pumpkins in the Park, one of the most popular San Diego Zoo events. Family-friendly festivities include: pumpkin carving, cake walks, trick-or-treat scavenger hunts, crafts, storytelling, scary animal discoveries, and more. Plenty of prizes will be given away to winning participants.

The highlight may very well be the costume contest. Ghosts, goblins, angels, devils, and other spooky—and funny—creatures will be on hand. The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is located 30 miles North of downtown San Diego in San Pasqual Valley. You can find plenty of San Diego Zoo packages at the Park’s website.
