It's the most fun that you'll have this side of the bayou. San Diego hosts Gator by the Bay this weekend, from May 5 to 8 – a four-day extravaganza of Cajun culture and cuisine. With seven stages and more than 90 performances scheduled, the event features a wide variety of live music, including zydeco, rockabilly, salsa, country, swing, jazz and blues. Savor authentic Gulf Coast and Creole cuisine at the Louisiana food court, from fresh boiled crawfish to oysters and jambalaya. You'll also find live cooking demonstrations, and huge wooden dance floors with free dance lessons. Capping off the fun are the Mardi Gras-style parades throughout the weekend.
