San Diego Museum of Man
1350 El Prado, Balboa Park San Diego, CA
November 27, 2014
Start time: 7:45am
Burn some calories, cross the finish line, and begin your holiday on a high note. You will work up an appetite while you enjoy the sights and scenes of San Diego in beautiful Balboa Park. Lace up your sneakers, and join the 10,000 participants ready to trot along the racecourse. Wind your way through 3.1 miles, and then you'll be prepared to enjoy all your favorite Thanksgiving foods - guilt-free!
Set the pace that's comfortable for you, whether you want to walk/jog or sprint at top speed. As an all-age event, adults and children (ages 6 through 12) can participate in either timed or non-timed race events. Enjoy a fun family activity, with free entry for children 5 and under on race day.
Now in its 13th year, this popular 5K event has become a beloved holiday tradition. While participating will make you feel great, you'll also be supporting a worthy cause. All proceeds go toward supporting the homeless in San Diego - children, adults, families, and veterans. This is a great opportunity to start a new tradition that speaks to the holiday, giving back to the community in the spirit of generosity.
